For Focus Gallery and Nottingham Jewellery School.
Shout out to the ceramic fans out there. Here’s a selection of our pottery madness here.
Lots of you visit us when you’re in need of a little something.
You’re going somewhere and think you ought to take something. Nothing too big or too much, just a bit of something to say ‘thank you’, ‘happy birthday’, or ‘it was nice to see you’.
Here are a few of our top picks for just that occasion:
(If you’d like more information or any pieces posting out to you do get in touch)

Some fabulous artwork currently in with us. If you need to brighten up your four walls get in touch.
It’s the last week to view our New Talent exhibition. There’s some amazing artwork by some very very talented artists from across the region. Well worth a visit we promise.
Just a note for all that we will be phasing out our old card machine for this swanky new PayPal one. It’s contactless (which ours isn’t) it takes American Express (which ours doesn’t) and it’s paperless (which is what we’re trying to achieve as best as possible). Technology moves so fast and we’re trying to keep up but by using less paper we’re also trying to do our bit. Receipts are texted or emailed if required.
We’ll be rolling this out fully as soon as someone wants to pay by Amex (just to know it works 😊)
We’re loving a bit of vibrant colour as spring heads towards summer - and lots of these beauties are now listed on our website.
Just got our #justacard windows stickers through which is a fabulous organisation to be part of supporting independent shops across the UK. Find out more at justacard.org. Huge thank you to Leaping Hare Gallery for posting them out to us and anyone in Nottingham who wants one shout up as I got them to send me loads for you all! #justacard #supportindies #nottingham
These brooches by SJR Ceramics are the perfect green and blue tones to style with denim and a bit of sunshine (if we’re lucky!).
Wanting to bring a bit of the garden into your home in this indecisive weather? We’re loving the botanical patterns in this McNeil glass. Pictured here with work by Sue Bulmer
While all our pieces are made in Britain, these have even less miles on them as they’re made just downstairs in our jewellery school!
You can keep up with what’s on via our Nottingham Jewellery School page, and pop in to browse the pieces we’ve been making.
Most alterations and commissions can be done in house or with one of our local jewellers, so do get in touch if you’ve got a project in mind.
Oh I do love a good cabinet move around. We’ve mixed and matched up colours, taken doors off some cabinets and shuffled the jewellery around with a good old clean. It’s good for the soul.
Looking for inspiration? We’ve got a huge stash of arts & crafts magazines all at just £1! Perfect for students.
Last week we had some lovely work brought to us by a local wood turner Michael Sewell. Ranging from bowls to toadstools to our personal favourite - little acorn boxes and more.
Do pop in for a peek, and feel free to contact us if you’re interested.
Don’t forget if you can’t visit us or are a little further away you can still see what we have on offer on our website. Also feel free to comment on any images we post and we’ll be happy to send you more to find that something special for you or a friend and post it out to you.
What do you think to our cushion mountain? 😱 We know how much you love these so it was impossible to resist these new designs featuring owls, Westies, and florals.
All £35 cushions are 2 for £60 too!
Have you visited David Evans’ exhibition yet? We’ve just added a few of his prints to our window display and they really stand out alongside work by Dawn Feeney, Peter Venning, David Sampson, Harleyjay Glass, and Jacob Chandler.
‘‘Twas an early start for me today!
We’ve had some beautiful new cards delivered by Mistletoe House. Some firm favourites by Phil Greenwood RE and some newbies to us, Robin Mackenzie and Alison Ingram. We love them, what do you think?
What's on in May and Data Protection Update -
We’d like to introduce you all to Charlotte, one of our newer volunteers. Charlotte has been fab to have around helping Sophie when Antonia is swanning off or having days off. She’s a wonderful addition to our creative family. She also knows a bit about galleries already as she is one of the organisers behind CROP UP Gallery at University of Nottingham.
CROP UP is a student-run art gallery, who are passionate about immersing themselves in the art world. They curate pop-up exhibitions and organise fundraising club nights for both students and the public. The original concept behind CROP UP is that a ‘gallery’ is not a fixed space, so they don’t have a physical gallery space at the University. Instead, they work with art galleries, institutions and bars in Nottingham, as well as local artists and art students.
Well worth a look into and a follow as part of the growing creative scene in Nottingham.
New Glass by Harleyjay work is now in.
All sorts of designs to choose from, whether you prefer Serengeti scenes, angels, dachshunds or deer.
We’ve got a wonderful new stock of Carole Glover’s work in - a selection of birds, cats, bears, and slip patterned tableware.
Come and find them tomorrow from 10am.
New jewellery in by Hannah Smith. Lovely silver, gold and stone set pieces, great for every day and they catch the sunlight beautifully.
Gorgeous leather jewellery by Kay Morgan now in. We’re loving the mustard yellow to bring a bit of spring sunshine into your wardrobe, or a bit of metallic sparkle from golds and silvers.
If you’re liking what you see we can always post things out upon request.
These raku fired vessels by Johnny Paramor are so beautiful it was so hard to choose which photo to post first!
Their forms vary from prehistoric to neoclassical to suit a variety of interiors, each with an entirely unique and unrepeatable colour pattern.
Just couldn’t resist sharing some more photos of the gallery in the glorious sunshine!
We’re so pleased with the new A board designs by our apprentice and our work experience student - what do you think?
And have you seen the time lapse video of them being painted?
We’ve been freshening up our A boards in this lovely spring weather - here our apprentice is working on one urging you to ‘support local makers’.
We think that’s a great sentiment, don’t you?
All the work we stock is traceable to a maker in the UK, but with Nottingham being full of talented creatives we don’t have to go far to find beautiful work!
New Artist Alert: We’re welcoming Louise Donovan with her beautiful prints and cards. Such wonderful colours for Spring (whenever that appears).
Amy's torch-fired enamel pieces are experiments in colour inspired by the works of abstract painters, handmade from her living room in Nottingham.
Angela Askins is taking part in our New Talent Exhibition with her eclectic collection of beautiful jewellery. We got to see her develop her talents at our jewellery school and can't wait to see where she heads next.
We are sorted! So many amazing new artists come see for yourself. Official opening Thursday and preview weds eve but it’s done now so I’m not gonna stop you!
SOLD!!! Well that didn’t take long and the exhibition isn’t even officially open yet. But when you fall in love with something what can I say. Love a red dot!
Last week of Jennifer Colliers wonderful paper collection. If you’ve not seen it yet it’s worth a venture out.
Diddy Elliot is the next artist for our upcoming New Talent Exhibition. She creates stunning realistic pencil drawings and watercolours, capturing the colour and form of a variety of subjects.

Rosie will be joining our New Talent exhibition with her stunning floral paintings. She draws her inspiration from the beauty of rural Nottinghamshire and is sure to brighten up our gallery.
Nicola began creating jewellery after taking part in some of our workshops, and we are so glad to have seen her talent grow. We're now bringing you a range of her statement art-deco inspired pieces for our upcoming New Talent Exhibition.
Next up for our New Talent Exhibition is Szilvia Ponyiczki, whose captivating artwork is an expression of the unconscious world of dreams. She is currently studying for her Fine Art MA.
Next up we are introducing Chloe Allen for our upcoming New Talent Exhibition, a local photographer who is currently studying Digital Design. Her portraits are striking and just demand your attention.
